Instructions//

1. Insert cables from the openings on each end (through the CAPCON) and crimp the fork terminals.

Caution: Make sure to use an insulated sleeve with the forked terminal to keep an appropriate insulation distance.Failure to this may lead to a short circuit.

2. Install the fork terminals in the JOIBOX terminal strip and tighten them with the screws provided.

Caution: To avoid damage by heating, observe the following matters without fail.
・Make sure that the screws have been tightly secured.
・Avoid connections as shown in the examples shown.

3. Tighten the (CAPCON) dome nut to fasten the cables

Insert the plugging bars into all unused holes. Place cables and plugging vars in a diagonal position when 2 cables are inserted as shown the above.

• Use only one cable for one hole.
• Tightening torque and tensile strength differ depending on the material of cable coating and its hardnesss.
• Tensile strength and waterproof performance drops when outer cable diameter changes due to aging.
• Product performance are not guaranteed for cables other than the applicable cable size or round cables.

*Do not step foot or put load on the product. Do not paint the product.
*Do not use this product in oil or water.
*To prevent deterioration,avoid using or storing this product under the following atmospheres.

1. Outside the range of working humidity and temperature
2. Water vapor contained or high temperature/humidity air
3. Acidic, alkaline or organic solvent-containing air (See Technical Data "Chemical resistance")

For Oilproof type (Rubber color : black)

Do not expose to direct and continuous sunlight.
Suitable for oily environments.
*For non-oily places,use Weatherproof type.

For Weatherproof Type (Rubber color : blue)

Avoid using in oily environments.
For non-oily indoor places,Weatherproof type is recommended.

Wiring precautions

Please pay attention to the following matters in wiring work.
*Avoid direct sunshine in outdoor use.
*To prevent entry of water dropping along the cable, pay attention to the following matters.

1. Do not place the JOIBOX so as the cable entry is in an upward direction.
2. When the cable is drawn from higher position, provide a water trap or a horizontal portion.
